Tissue cultures are specially grown plants for those who do not want to introduce any pests of any kind to their aquarium. These are grown in specialty labs with zero possibility of algae, snails or any other undesirables, Guaranteed.

Bacopa Monnieri ‘Compact White’, also known as ‘Platinum’, is a rare cultivar of aquarium plant Bacopa Monnieri. This delicate hybrid is distinguished by its lack of chlorophyll, which causes it to turn white. In some cases, the plant may revert to green. With strong lights, stable conditions, and CO2 injection, it will spread in a carpet-like fashion.

Propagation of this species is simple; cut the tips, replant, and observe as they grow.

Be sure to remove the plant from its gel before planting. Simply loosen it with your fingers and wash away under running water. Plant gently as usual.

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Lower to medium light intensity.
  • Grows quickly
  • Gets more compact in high lights and co2

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
