Tissue cultures are specially grown plants for those who do not want to introduce any pests of any kind to their aquarium. These are grown in specialty labs with zero possibility of algae, snails or any other undesirables, Guaranteed.

Anubias Pinto is human-made via artificial selection and generations of propagation. Its beautiful white-green patterns result from reduced chlorophyll pigmentation in certain areas of the leaves, producing unique patterns for each plant.

As an epiphyte, Anubias should not be completely buried in the substrate, as it will rot. Simply anchor a few roots in, no more than a quarter inch deep. These are also great for gluing to driftwood and rocks!

Anubias are hardy and slow-growing. Perfect for tough livestock such as goldfish and certain cichlids. Tolerates lower light, and is pretty difficult to kill in my opinion!

One thing to note: As Anubias are slow growers, algae growth can be a concern. Just keep an eye on your parameters, and put your lights on a little plug-in timer. Six hours of light is plenty.

Be sure to remove the plant from its gel before planting. Simply loosen it with your fingers and wash away under running water. Plant gently as usual.

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Low to Medium light intensity.
  • Slow growth speed

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!

Hardy Plant and Great Service

Was excited to see these guys on sale and grabbed myself one (which actually had 3 little plants in it, steal of a deal considering how much just ONE can go for with these fancy anubias types)

I ordered as normal, and the plant got all the way into my state, and then into a town 20 minutes away from me and then?? USPS just...sent it back to Kansas. I have no idea what happened, or why, and I don't blame the GG team for it at all, they were in fact very helpful when I emailed them about the situation.

Despite bouncing around through Kansas for an extra week (seriously no idea what happened, I ended up calling my post office and they did ??? something?? and it shipped to me after that, idk man) Despite the delay, the plants still looked really good! I contacted the team and they said to keep an eye on them and let them know if I need a refund/replacement. I've had a little bit of melt, but so far not anything I wouldn't expect from a plant in a new tank.

These were so incredibly beautiful! There where three pieces in the culture and they’ve already started putting new roots out!

Unfortunately the plant arrived with wilted, pale leaves presumed due to a cold spell during shipping and deteriorated/died during the next few days. Working on reshipment.
