Perfect for planted tanks! The Threadfin Rainbowfish (Iriatherina weneri) aka Featherfin Rainbowfish, it hails from the lushly vegetated waterways of New Guinea and Australia. This rainbowfish is known for its uniquely long tail extensions on mature adults, giving it a regal and fancy appearance.

The vibrant Threadfin Rainbowfish boasts a unique blend of gray-green, yellow, red, and blue hues that extend to its fins. Get the best colors for your Threadfin Rainbowfish with varied high-quality food. Colors intensify in adulthood with a school of 6 or more. Mix up their diet with flakes, live, freeze-dried, and frozen foods. No need to worry about your aquarium plants, as these nano fish do not nibble.

This fish is a jumper, so keep a lid/low water level.
Like all nano community fish, clean, stable water and plant cover are needed; they seem to love duckweed and hornwort
This species likes slow waters, so avoid strong currents or poweful bubblers.
The colorful, peaceful Threadfin Rainbowfish is safe to keep with most invertebrates and even adult dwarf shrimp.

The images displayed above depict a fully mature adult male Threadfin Rainbowfish exhibiting breeding colors. Typically, they appear less vibrant in coloration.
