The Sparkling Dwarf Gourami (Trichopsis pumila), is a tiny labyrinth fish with iridescent green, blue, and red spotting coloration.
Gouramis require an aquarium with dense vegetation and plenty of cover. Slow to moderate water movement is preferred, and turbulent conditions should be avoided.
Males can be a little territorial with their own species, and it is possible to keep this fish with peaceful invertebrates, but vigilance and caution are necessary.
Algae-based flakes, carnivorous flakes, and meaty frozen or freeze-dried items should make up a Sparkling Dwarf Gourami's balanced diet. It doesn't have a picky palate.
