A stunning and unusual bulb hailing from central Africa!
This Crinum type is stocky and easy to please, although slow growing. It prefers softer water and better light. It does even better in Co2 and High lights, and may even flower for you!
This African plant does need a nutrient-rich substrate. Supplement with root tabs for the best result!
Be sure to plant no more than a quarter of the bulb beneath the surface. Any deeper and you're asking for rot.
Lovely, thin, highly ruffled leaves grow similar to an onion bulb!
Single bulb rooted in pot is 6-12" long.
SUBMERGED-GROWN
Growing requirements:
- 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
- Ph 6-7
- Low to high light intensity.
- Slow growth speed
- Root tabs and Co2 recommended
- 8- 24" tall
- Propagates via daughter bulbs
As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
