Let fortune choose for you with Grower's choice of a mystery Crypt.

I choose from the following types:

These are perfect low light plants! Crypts generally grow very slowly and do not like to be disturbed, so plan accordingly!

I'd place these in the front, to mid-ground in your aquascaping, although I have a few that have grown up to 8 inches tall over three years. As I said, slow growing!

One of the lowest-light, and easiest-to-please plants I carry, you should nonetheless expect some leaf melt when it's shipped your way. These like to regrow their leaves when disturbed.

One single bare-root plant will have at least three leaves. 3"- 8" tall.

Grown both SUBMERGED and EMERGENT

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Low to Medium light intensity.
  • Slow  to medium growth speed

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!

The type of crypt was not labeled on the package. Typically when I have ordered mystery plants from other business they label the plants for arrival. It’s not big deal. I will keep this in mind next time I order.
There was quite a bit of yellowing of the older leaves, which I wasn’t thrilled about, but they are leaves I would typically remove to help prevent melt anyways.

Got More Than I Expected

I needed quite a few more plants and some shrimp for my 10-gallon, but thankfully I got more than that. I now have a tiny ramshorn and a decent-size bacterial colony as well! I love that everything from Glass Grown comes from well-established community tanks because mine has benefitted from that so much!

I enjoyed this product because it gives you a chance to try out a new plant, and the one I got looks beautiful and healthy.
