Just plop in your tank, and you'll have a mess of feathery Fissidens Moss in no time! Wonderful for natural aquascapes. Mesh is moldable, so you'll be able to get that 'ball' shape should you chose to! (First photo)

Fissidens nobilis is a lower-light, easy care plant. I love them in my tanks as they are great at sheltering fry and baby shrimplets, plus they do some serious heavy-lifting at biological filtration!

This order is for a 3"x 3" Stainless steel mesh mat with Fissidens securely sewn in. No hassle!

Grown SUBMERGED

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Medium light intensity.
  • Slow growth speed
  • Co2 not needed

Fissidens is a super duper plant all around. While it requires low to medium light, you will notice faster, denser growth in a higher- maintenance aquarium. This is an excellent starter plant for freshwater aquariums.

It is a somewhat newer plant to the hobby, and curiously, native to the United States!

Mine love community tanks, with minimal fertilizer and average light/ room temperatures. I do have snails in my tanks, so If you'd absolutely rather not have snail hitchhikers, definitely look up how to do a bleach dip.

Thank you for looking, aqua friends!

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there’s always a chance of harmless hitchhikers like snails or dwarf shrimp tagging along with your plants!

I personally keep several beneficial snail species in my tanks, including Colorful Ramshorns, Bronze Bladder and Pond Snails, Mini Rams, and Malaysian Trumpet Snails. These snails stay relatively small, help clean the aquarium, and do not eat healthy plants or cause harm. However, if you’d rather avoid any hitchhikers, I highly recommend checking out our blog on how to safely disinfect aquarium plants before adding them to your tank:
How to Bleach Dip Aquarium Plants Safely

All plants are freshly snipped or harvested and packed right before shipment. I take great care in preparing every order and use methods that have consistently produced the best results over many years in the hobby. A lot of love goes into every package, so please don’t leave your plants sitting in a hot mailbox for too long 🙏

Thank you for looking, aqua friends! 💚

I seriously have an instant patch of moss on my driftwood now! I molded it around the bottom and can't wait to see it grow. Thank you, Cass amd Family!
