Bring vibrant colors to your nano tank with Emerald Dwarf Rasboras!
Emerald Dwarf Rasboras typically exhibit a vibrant coral pink or a radiant orange hue, with dazzling turquoise green stripes radiating along their sides when exposed to light (some specimens may feature a more vivid purple striping). A dark blotch can be observed at the tail base.
Maintaining stable water parameters and quality are key factors in keeping Emerald Dwarf Rasboras healthy. These fish are peaceful, but they may engage in competitive behavior among males. A larger group of these fish tends to exhibit less shyness. When given a properly cycled and heavily planted tank, these fish may start spawning and you may even witness fry.
Emerald Dwarf Rasboras, similar to other danios and rasboras, are peaceful and compatible with other non-aggressive fish, snails, shrimp, and live plants. They prefer tanks that have various forms of cover, such as plants, rock, or driftwood.
They are very easygoing feeders and absolutely love live food such as brine shrimp, Artemia, and other micro fauna. While omnivorous, be sure to feed them a higher protein diet with a bit of vegetable flake here and there. They will readily accept flake and frozen foods as well.
