Neocaridina are among the hardiest Dwarf shrimp species; nevertheless, you should take great care to cycle your tank well, and avoid ammonia and nitrate/nitrite spikes. Heavily planting your tank will help with this!
Our shrimp are used to hard Kansas water, and kept in Walstad tanks at room temperatures.

First of all, my shrimp all came in good health and alive. We even got a secret baby in there! We did lose one on the first day, I'm assuming that the shock of shipping caught up to him. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised just how much I was given with the kit! It really is very generous for the value. I will likely continue to buy shrimp from here since mine are very lively and I'm completely enraptured with them.
However, among the items was something labeled something like "colony shrimp grower", which the listing says is powdered food. The snails already in my tank especially loved it! However, it contained calcium carbonate, something I didn't realize when I began putting it in every day as the label on the bag instructed.
My GH skyrocketed, because my tap water is already hard. Soon after, I began experiencing molting issues that I hadn't had at the beginning. When I clued in to what had happened, I ceased use of it and diluted my tank water enough to bring my parameters to safe levels, but not before losing about a third of the shrimp.
In all, the kit is very good, but I do really wish that the items within were more clearly labeled. Could've saved some shrimp!
Amazing value! Got way more shrimp than I was expecting, and they all came alive and healthy. Nice assortment of other goods also.
All arrived in great health. Very yellow and immediately began exploring the tank.

Arrived in good condition and they have acclimated to my tank. Already have a female berried.
