"🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇 First time buying Crypt Flamingo, came in healthy and a nice pink color. It has strong intact roots."
- Lynn D. Via Etsy

Unusual and a rather sought-after new type of Cryptocoryne!

Crypt 'Flamingo' is a stunningly colorful foreground plant. Once this gets planted, let it be for some time. This type of Cryptocoryne is a little more fragile and demanding than the usual Crypts and should not be disturbed.

Looking for other colors and variations? Try Potted Cryptocoryne Wendtii RedGreen, Bronze and Tropica!

Bare-rooted versions of Crypt Wendtii are also available; They come in Green, Red and Bronze!

Rooted, potted variety is 3-5" tall.

EMERGENT-GROWN OR SUBMERGED-GROWN

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Medium to high light intensity.
  • Slow growth speed

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there’s always a chance of harmless hitchhikers like snails or dwarf shrimp tagging along with your plants!

I personally keep several beneficial snail species in my tanks, including Colorful Ramshorns, Bronze Bladder and Pond Snails, Mini Rams, and Malaysian Trumpet Snails. These snails stay relatively small, help clean the aquarium, and do not eat healthy plants or cause harm. However, if you’d rather avoid any hitchhikers, I highly recommend checking out our blog on how to safely disinfect aquarium plants before adding them to your tank:
How to Bleach Dip Aquarium Plants Safely

All plants are freshly snipped or harvested and packed right before shipment. I take great care in preparing every order and use methods that have consistently produced the best results over many years in the hobby. A lot of love goes into every package, so please don’t leave your plants sitting in a hot mailbox for too long 🙏

Thank you for looking, aqua friends! 💚

Crypts are great.

I bought both potted Wendtii Flamingo & Tropica. Both pots were full of healthy crypts with great color.

Pink!

The plant arrived with about 6 leaves and was extremely pink. One leaf melted but one has already started to grow. I can’t say if it’s going to stay pink as I don’t run CO2 but I do dose iron so I’m hopeful.

Great value, healthy plants

The pot I received had two plants in it, which was a nice surprise. They arrived with strong roots and a few leaves each. Leaf color was a dusty pinkish green to start. I planted them near the back of a carpeted area, in high lighting, hoping they would pop against the green.

After a couple weeks of no noticeable growth (but only minimal melt) I put a root tab under each. Since then - a couple weeks ago - I have new leaves sprouting on each, and the new leaves are PINK! I can't wait for them to mature.
