This plant boasts a stunning shade of purple!
Bacopa salzmannii is a lesser-known species in the aquarium hobby, with similar smaller leaves on a thick stem under the same conditions as Bacopa caroliniana.
For optimal growth, provide medium to strong lighting, a nutrient-rich substrate, and CO2 addition for Bacopa Salzmannii Purple. Propagate the plant easily through head or partial cuttings. To avoid bare shoots at the bottom, prune and replant shoot tips when the plant reaches a height of 25 cm.
A bunch is 4-6 collected stems, and may be branched or rooted. (4-8" tall)
Growing requirements:
- 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
- Ph 6-8
- Medium to high light intensity.
- Grows quickly
- Gets more compact in high lights and co2
As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
