Brilliant Rasboras are a lovely, peaceful fish that schools well with other community fish such as Tetras, Rasboras, and even guppies!
This species (Rasbora borapetensis) is originally from Southeast Asia and displays the best coloring and behavior while in groups of 6+. They will grow to a maximum of 2.5 inches.
An excellent beginner fish, the Brilliant Rasbora (also called the Red-Tailed Rasbora) can tolerate a wide range of water parameters and habitats. It's been quite trendy in recent years!
They are very easygoing feeders and absolutely love live food such as brine shrimp, Artemia, and other micro fauna. While omnivorous, be sure to feed them a higher protein diet with a bit of vegetable flake here and there. They will readily accept flake and frozen foods as well.
Your Rasboras will be young, without full adult coloration, and about 1.5" long.
