"Plants shipped faster than expected and packaged well for the journey. Clean cuts too - no snails or other critters in my quarantine tank before planting. Most took to my tank and are thriving beautifully. Also the decal -- LOVE IT! Wish there were T-Shirts."

One of the first  types of plants I'd suggest for a beginner!

Swords (Echinodorus) are one of the most difficult aquatic plants to kill, and they are fairly slower growing. They won't need anything special in terms of lighting, filtration, or temperatures, and pretty much do just fine no matter what.

They do get larger, however, so it wouldn't be prudent to keep them in anything smaller than a ten gallon tank! If they are happy, they'll grow right out of your tank, and may even produce beautiful little white flowers for you. It's rewarding.

Swords are hearty plants, similar to things like Java fern or Anubias; so if you have fish that are nippy and like to dig (small cichlids, loaches, goldfish etc), these plants will work for your set up.

Bare-root rosette is 5-10" tall, varies in it's natural state.

EMERGENT-GROWN

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Low to Medium light intensity.
  • Slow growth speed

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!

Beautiful

Came in great condition, with only a few yellow leaves. Two weeks later, it’s still looking great and growing new leaves!

Came in not great condition but I think this one will come back well but that’s also just a part of shipping live plants

This is my second time ordering from Glass Grown Aquatics and I was so very satisfied both times with my orders!! I have a 10 gallon betta tank with just a male betta and he’s becoming spoiled. I keep buying him plants and snails!! My once scarce tank of now filled with beautiful, healthy greenery, all thanks to Glass Grown Aquatics! Not to mention they always give me a paper origami animal with my order! i’ve started a collection and I keep them in a jar! I definitely and whole heartedly recommend Glass Grown Aquatics!
