"Exactly what I expected! This is a zero effort way to get an established carpet of plants. The actual mat is quite thin, so the roots are anchored but you can see them already growing out of the mat. The plant itself was healthy, with new growth appearing almost immediately. Professionally packaged as well. If the seller sees this, please add more items like this!! So many plants are just a pain to plant normally lol I will buy anything if the tedious planting work is done for me ;)"

The tiniest little leaves are perfect for Iwagumi landscapes!
Hemianthus callitrichoides Cuba 'Dwarf Baby Tears' is a classic carpeting plant native to the Caribbean. It has similar growth needs and behaviors to Monte Carlo and Glossostigma.
Perfect for a higher-tech setup, Dwarf Baby Tears grows quickly and densely with appropriate high lighting, co2 and fertilizers. You'll love the dense carpet of these tiny leaves.
This plant comes excellently rooted on a 4" biodegradable mat of Coir, and ready to go!
Growing Suggestions:
- High light needs, Co2 Recommended!
- 60-80F
- Fast, low/ creeping growth rate, 1-2" high
- Root tabs recommended: Yes
- Excellent forage and shelter!
Cassandra's Notes:
Similarly to Glosso, DBT will start to yellow and become leggy without enough light and fertilizer. You'll definitely need to keep trimming for this plant to look it's best!
This version of DBT is much easier to get established. No fiddling with the tiny, delicate roots and waiting on the plant to recover from a snip. Just pin the coconut coir mat down with some loose gravel, and watch your Baby Tears take over! Coir is a natural by-product of coconuts, and will eventually break down completely.
As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
