An excellent beginner plant!

This variety of the popular Sagittaria subulata has long, strap-like leaves and a creeping habit. They won't need anything special in terms of lighting, filtration, or temperatures, and pretty much do just fine no matter what.

Dwarf Sag is a quick growing, low maintenance plant that provides excellent forage and shelter for baby shrimp and fish fry. It readily propagates itself like grass, and is best for the foreground/ Midground in your aquascaping arrangements. They can grow up to 6"+ and the leaves are about a 1/4 inch wide.

Their broad tolerance for aquarium conditions makes them an absolute favorite for aquarists across skill levels. No special lighting, water parameters or co2 needed!

One order is for THREE 2-4" tall rosettes/ Nodes ; and varies in it's natural state.

Grown SUBMERGED

Looking for a ten pack for quicker carpeting?

Growing requirements:

  • 65-80 Degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ph 6-8
  • Low to Medium light intensity.
  • Quick growth speed
  • Propogates readily through new rooting nodes.

As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!

Dwarf Sagittaria

My Sagittaria arrived looking like steamed spinach, so it definitely did not survive!

Fabulous customer service

Edit: Customer service was fabulous and made it right. They refunded even though I never reached out to them because I thought I was too late for the DOA policy. You can trust GGA to make things right!
I was sad to see when I pulled out the bunch of Dwarf Sag it was completely melted and smelt bad :(
All the other plants in my order were healthy and green, so maybe this guy just doesn’t ship quite as well. Nonetheless, it was a generous amount (I believe it was more than three nodes) so if it had made it I would have been very happy!
