Süsswassertang , also known as Subwassertang is an extremely popular aquatic liverwort commonly used in a planted tank. They are especially loved in shrimp tanks since they provide natural coverage for different species of fry, shrimp and skittish fish.
Subwassertang also helps to neutralize toxins in the water column while
promoting oxygen-rich water.
This aquatic plant exhibits similar growth to that of mosses and will self-attach to aquarium decor, stones and driftwood that provide a suitable foundation. Alternatively, it can be left free-floating and will eventually settle and clump in random areas of the aquarium.
This is a super unique plant, who's only real drawback is that it is somewhat slow-growing.
As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there's always the possibility of harmless snail or dwarf shrimp hitchhikers!
2oz portion is roughly equal to a condiment cup size, or a loose golf ball.
