Ditch your clunky Hang-On-Back filter, and use the system favored by pros!

This small, weighted filter is perfect for very small Nano tanks: five gallons and under.

The fine mesh provides a home for the vital bacteria that keep your water clean and balanced, plus, you have oxygenation in the little bubbles that are directed out the top.

This little filter is a must-have for any tanks with tiny shrimp or fish fry. Never worry again about anyone getting accidentally sucked in to a filter intake; plus, no moving parts to suddenly break on you! Just connect an air pump and you're good to go. These last years and years!

Contains several parts:

  • Detachable clear air cylinder
  • Sponge and weighted base (1.5" across)
  • 40" airline tubing
  • 2x airline adaptors
  • 1x flow control valve

Some tips for cleaning this filter:

When your filter gets clogged, and is no longer holding dirt, place it slowly inside a baggie while still underwater. If you try to pull it out above the water, you'll just spew all that dirt back into your water. Give it a quick rinse, and squeeze it a few times to dislodge dirt, then place it back in your tank. No replacements, or special parts !

You can see in the video above, it's pretty easy to take apart completely for cleaning, should you feel the need to.

Noisy, but works great.

I love the filter, but it is noisy. I did some research and found that I can add an airstone to it to reduce the noise, so I am definitely doing that.
