It requires very little in the way of light, temperature, or ferts. You will notice faster growth in a higher- maintenance aquarium, of course, but it isn't necessary. This is an excellent starter plant for freshwater aquariums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy mosses love their community tanks, with minimal fertilizer and average light\/ room temperatures. I do have snails in tanks, but no duckweed! If you'd absolutely rather not have snail hitchhikers, definitely look up how to do a bleach dip.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou'll receive yours burrito- wrapped and heat sealed in a plastic baggie to retain moisture and oxygen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eAs I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there’s always a chance of harmless hitchhikers like snails or dwarf shrimp tagging along with your plants!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI personally keep several beneficial snail species in my tanks, including Colorful Ramshorns, Bronze Bladder and Pond Snails, Mini Rams, and Malaysian Trumpet Snails. These snails stay relatively small, help clean the aquarium, and do not eat healthy plants or cause harm.
